Prior to joining the firm, Damian was an assistant prosecutor in the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office, where he oversaw the investigation and prosecution of violent offenses and complex commercial crimes, and successfully tried numerous cases to verdict.

Damian defends individuals, businesses and corporate entities in white collar criminal investigations, regulatory enforcement actions and complex commercial disputes.

He has defended healthcare practitioners, executives, accountants, attorneys, securities brokers, government officials and other licensed professionals from allegations of healthcare fraud, insurance fraud, bribery, wire fraud, honest services fraud, professional misconduct, corporate mismanagement, breach of fiduciary duty, money laundering, insider trading, tax fraud, bank fraud, public corruption and civil RICO violations.

Damian routinely litigates against U.S. Attorney's Offices, States Attorneys General, District Attorneys, the SEC, FINRA, the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and professional licensing boards.

Damian also devotes a substantial portion of his practice to pursuing personal injury claims for victims of motor vehicle accidents, slips and falls, workplace accidents and municipal liability. For these victims, he has routinely achieved large settlements over the past two decades.

Damian was recognized in the 2020 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for white collar criminal defense. He has also been named to the New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars list; an accolade given to no more than 2.5% of the attorneys in the state.* In 2020 and 2021, Damian was named one of Essex County’s top lawyers by Morris-Essex Health and Life Magazine. Damian is a former member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel, a group of criminal practitioners selected to defend indigent defendants from federal prosecution in the District of New Jersey.
