Nabulsi Joins Mandelbaum Salsburg as Co-Chair of Healthcare Practice Group
ROSELAND, N.J., Jan. 5, 2017 – Mandelbaum Salsburg P.C., one of New Jersey’s most renowned and respected law firms, announced today that Mohamed H. Nabulsi joined the Firm as Co-Chair of the Healthcare Practice Group, signaling a major expansion of the practice.
Nabulsi joins the Firm from Frier Levitt, where he was a Partner in the corporate and healthcare department for the past nine years. He will run the Healthcare Practice with fellow Co-Chair Dennis Alessi. Nabulsi will also work closely with Peter Levy, Chair of the Life Sciences Practice, and be a member of the Firm’s Business Law Practice Group and Professional Practice Transitions Group.

Nabulsi’s healthcare clients include physician and non-physician providers, including medical practices, preferred provider organizations and accountable care organizations (ACOs). He represents health industry clients on a wide range of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate structurings, contracts and agreements, ACO formations, fraud and abuse waivers, negotiations, healthcare facility/provider licensures, partnership and medical staff disputes, employment matters, physician licensure actions, bundled reimbursement healthcare models, managed care contracting, employment contracts and negotiations with third-party payors. He also counsels clients on third-party payor disputes, audits and appeals, governmental and non-governmental investigations and prosecutions, including navigating the changes brought about by healthcare reform efforts. Nabulsi works with clients on federal and state regulatory matters, such as compliance with the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Anti-Markup Law, False Claims Act, Controlled Dangerous Substance laws, HIPAA and state health information privacy laws, among other matters. Nabulsi has also represented clients in litigation matters.
The appointment is part of the Firm’s continued growth as it has brought on 11 attorneys during the past 18 months while launching new practices and expanding the range of services offered. Nabulsi, a Kinnelon, NJ, resident, earned his Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, and his undergraduate degree in criminal justice from William Paterson University. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
